Privacy Policy

1. At a glance

This is the informational website of Threatera. It is a simple, static site: it does not use cookies, does not run web analytics or tracking, has no sign-up or contact forms, and loads no third-party content (no external fonts, CDNs, maps, or social-media widgets).

As a result, the only personal data processed is (a) technical information automatically recorded by the web server when you visit, and (b) the details you choose to send us if you email us. Both are described below.

3. Hosting & server log files

This website is hosted by netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Straße 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany (the "host"), acting as a processor on our behalf. Data is stored on servers within the EU.

Each time the site is accessed, the host's web server automatically records data that your browser transmits, in server log files:

• anonymised or shortened IP address
• date and time of the request
• the page/file requested and the amount of data transferred
• the referring URL, where sent by your browser
• browser type and version, and operating system

This data is processed to deliver the website reliably and securely and to detect and defend against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, functional website). Log data is retained only as long as necessary for these purposes and then deleted. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the host.

4. Contacting us by email

If you contact us using the "Request early access" links or the email address above, we process the data you provide — your email address and the content of your message — solely to handle and respond to your enquiry.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) and/or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

We retain your message for as long as needed to deal with your request and to comply with any statutory retention obligations, after which it is deleted.

5. Cookies, analytics & third parties

This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking, profiling, or web analytics. It embeds no third-party services and loads no external resources, so simply browsing it does not disclose your data to any third party. The only recipient of data is our hosting provider (Section 3), acting on our instructions.

One thing is stored in your browser: if you use the light/dark toggle, your choice is saved in local storage under tt_theme. It is not a cookie, is never transmitted anywhere, contains nothing that identifies you, and exists only so the site does not forget your preference. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. We mention it because "no cookies" would otherwise imply that nothing at all is kept, and §165 TKG 2021 is about storing information on your device however it is done — not about the word "cookie".

We do not transfer personal data to third countries outside the EU/EEA, and we do not sell personal data. No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data (Art. 15)
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
• erasure (Art. 17)
• restriction of processing (Art. 18)
• data portability (Art. 20)
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
• withdraw any consent you have given, with effect for the future

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), dsb.gv.at.

7. Data security

This website is served over an encrypted TLS/HTTPS connection to protect data in transit. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard the limited data we process.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The current version, with its date, always applies and is published on this page.
